OH MY GOODNESS! WE MADE IT! We chose to celebrate Labor Day in Sargent this year. The boys actually had school today but we were really bad and skipped. I'm quite sure the teachers were probably glad if my boys are anything at school like what they were this weekend. Actually, it was a somewhat pleasant weekend. They boys went crabbing, played the friendly game of Candy Land (NOT) and we went to the beach. The most fun thing is that Mimi came along for the ride. I definitely think she is going to need a serious vacation after our serious vacation. I can almost guarantee that she will no longer travel with us without bringing along her trusty earplugs. I really think we may have made her a nervous wreck seeing as how by 10:30 this morning she was drinking a Sangria wine cooler. She was a really good sport and I really do think she had a good time. We all had a good time with her… One funny about "Margaret – who's Margaret?"; this morning the electricity went off and stayed off for a good while. Everyone was getting a little cabin fever especially Jack. I heard Mimi in the room with him telling herself something like, darn I just can't figure out anything. I asked her what was the matter and she replied, "I can't get his tv program to turn on". Remember when I said we had no electricity? J Oh what a fun weekend in Sargent.

Of all times for my camera to dye - this is the best family shot I got -
Talk about FUN!!! - see you next summer Sargent.
The way home was another story however. Jack cried just about the whole way home. He wanted out of his car seat, wanted Max and Wuubbeee, needed his milkeee mooo, you name it he needed it all the way from East Bernard to the dairy barn. We hit the dairy barn road the kid perked up, started to smile and by the time we drove into the driveway he was a totally changed kiddo. Go figure…
The Little Toot!
We stopped at McDonalds in Bay City to get the boys a movie and snack. Snack of course being, 2 happy meals for the twins and a big kid mighty meal double cheeseburger for B (much more than his mom could think about eating). Anyway, point being – they received action figures in their meals. Ben was telling everyone how cool his was. It was a man with 2 arrows and they could shoot far, and man it was the coolest ever. Britt munched happily along not paying much attention to them and about 3 minutes later Grant piped up, "NO FAIR – I GOT A BUTTERFLY"! The action figure he received was a super hero with wings. Poor little guy was so serious we ALL were just dying! Mom tried to convince him it was a DRAGON FLY but he didn't bite. Thank goodness Britt was much more interested in his food than his action figure so he happily switched and all was good again for the four little fella's.
What a fun and memorable weekend! Back to the old routine tomorrow – I guess summer is over and gone so HAPPY FALL Y'ALL (now we just need the weather to go with it).
